Class
The seminar offers the opportunity to prepare for an MSc. Thesis at the dMA department. At the beginning of the semester, texts and protagonists are discussed together and presented in presentations. Reading includes architectural historians such as Mario Carpo, architects such as Greg Lynn and pioneers of cybernetics such as Max Bense.
Based on individual interests and motivations, a research plan is developed in which the student's own MSc. thesis is prepared in terms of content and methodology. The seminar offers the freedom to seek either theoretical discussion or practical work with digital design and production methods.
In the case of a theoretical work, an essay is submitted, and in the case of a practical work, a research portfolio.
With this foundation, the groundwork can be laid for a relevant dMA MSc. thesis.
