Urban cafés have to adapt their offer and service to the changing needs throughout the day. People take their drinks and food with them, others meet friends or get work done. Besides these different usecases, the ingredients of a local and seasonal menu are also subject to permanent change.
For the bachelor thesis, a small canteen/restaurant/bar is designed that addresses this constant change. Special focus will be placed on the food preparation processes and the experience of the guests.
The site for the design will be captured using 3D laser scanning, providing in a high resolution design context (Hyper Context).
Formally and constructively, a series of systems are proposed to be digitally described and adapted in the design. At the beginning of the project, each designer chooses a tectonic system that is to be produced digitally. In a seminar, the digital methods necessary are deepened.
