The aim of this three-day introduction was to gain insight into working with Adobe Photoshop to create atmospheric perspectives from line drawings. The Photoshop tutorials on the dMA YouTube Channel formed another basis for this. Each student received a perspective line drawing of the Vitrahaus in Weil am Rhein by Herzog & de Meuron as a basis, which had to be inserted into an atmospheric environment; in addition, the house itself had to be textured.
With the choice of the Vitrahaus, a building was selected that stimulated the students'' spatial thinking abilities. The many twists and offsets made it necessary to first engage with the building and gain an understanding of its form. The task was thus designed in a way that would help the students prepare for their studies in more ways than one.
